intake Support Service

We will connect you with private and public organisations to link you up with the most appropriate support during a crisis. We assure you that the information you share with us is private.

This support service is a pilot project established by the Sydney Community Forum with the support of Study NSW. The service is in support of a community of international students who are creating a network of support. We are passionate about creating a community of care where international students feel they have a home away from home.

We want to inform international students of services available in NSW that they can access. We have established 9 different support areas where we can support you in accessing the help you need. We will guide you throughout the Australian system based on the experience and knowledge of other international students.

If you would like to find out about accessing support, please complete the above request form  and we will contact you within 2 business days.
Your information will not be shared with referral agencies without your permission and will only be used to link you up to the most appropriate support.

About Us

Sydney Community Forum (SCF) is an independent non-government organisation that has existed since 1974. We work towards social justice, inclusion, and sustainability in a broad region of Sydney. SCF is a founding and active member of the Sydney Alliance, a broad coalition of civil society organisations in Sydney.

This project is a collaboration with the international student community who have created a space to organise their own community - the Oz International Students Hub (OISH).The Intake Support Service is a pilot project funded by Study NSW with the aim of creating a single pathway to access support for international students in NSW during difficult times.

Together with Sydney Alliance, United Workers Union, Multicultural Youth Affairs Network (MYAN), Tenants Union, Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees' Association (SDA) and Unions NSW, we advocate for support for international students.
